Fort Health Care (FHC) is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Fort Atkinson's Heart of the City and Sustain Jefferson to offer a free, 10 week course on conservation and ecological awareness, open to the general public and FHC employees. Using the book "The Natural Step for Communities," (New Society Publishers, $24.95) the course will explore how individuals, businesses, and governments have been transformed by the simple, powerful and often under-utilized ideals that act as a foundation for living in balance with the natural world. Reading about two chapters per week, participants will meet at the Fort Memorial Hospital to discuss their findings and interests that result from this evocative and challenging program.
The goal of this free course is to emerge with new, fiscal and environment-saving skills that can be applied on the job, and at home. By gaining insight into new paradigms that compel readers to think critically, participants will be prepared to add value to the workplace and the community by applying the practical knowledge that others have successfully employed during their transition to a holistic lifestyle.

* Thursday, January 17, 2008 from 12 noon to 1:00 pm.
* Tuesday, January 22, 2008 from 4:15 pm to 5:45 pm.
* Thursday, January 24, 2008 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am
The Natural Step courses will begin in early February and run through April, 2008.
